Terms for using Mevara.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing the Mevara website or using the Mevara app, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Mevara.

2. What Mevara does

Mevara is independent shopping technology designed to help users search and browse supported retailers, compare product information, continue shopping missions, save selected purchase information locally, and manage Restock timing. Mevara is a shopping browser and assistant, not a retailer, marketplace, payment processor, shipping provider, or purchasing agent.

3. Retailer independence and no endorsement

Mevara is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the retailers shown unless expressly stated. Retailer names, trademarks, product content, and links are used to identify shopping sources and live retailer listings. All retailer marks belong to their respective owners.

4. Retailer information can change

Prices, availability, delivery estimates, ratings, product descriptions, images, pack sizes, unit information, promotions, and other listing details are supplied by retailers or extracted from retailer pages and may be incomplete, delayed, or changed without notice. Confirm all important details on the live retailer page before purchasing.

5. Checkout, retailer accounts, and orders

Mevara does not process retailer payments or place retailer orders. Retailer sign-in, account access, checkout, payment, taxes, shipping, subscriptions, returns, warranties, and customer service are handled directly by the retailer and are governed by that retailer’s terms and privacy policy.

You may optionally connect Shop for buyer-linked Shopify catalog features and separately provide a delivery area for catalog localization and shipping-eligibility filtering. This connection does not guarantee personalized results, product availability, shipping eligibility, or a delivery date. You may disconnect Shop in the app.

6. Comparisons, recommendations, and automated assistance

Mevara comparisons and recommendations are provided for convenience and may rely on incomplete or changing retailer information, deterministic rules, on-device intelligence, or optional third-party AI. Outputs may be inaccurate or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Mevara does not guarantee the lowest price, best value, product identity, availability, compatibility, delivery outcome, or fitness for your needs. You remain responsible for reviewing the live listing and making the final shopping decision.

7. Optional ChatGPT Discovery and your OpenAI account

Optional ChatGPT Discovery is not required for Mevara’s core shopping functions. To use it, you must supply your own OpenAI API key, turn the feature on, and accept the current disclosure. Your OpenAI account, API key, usage, charges, limits, and provider relationship are governed by OpenAI’s terms and your account settings.

Your API key is a billing credential. You are responsible for protecting it, using an appropriately restricted project key and spending limit, and revoking it through OpenAI if your device or key is lost or compromised. Mevara cannot recover, refund, or reverse charges made under your OpenAI account.

You may turn ChatGPT Discovery off at any time. Turning it off blocks the audited OpenAI request paths even if the key remains saved on your device. See the Optional ChatGPT section of the Privacy Policy for the information that may be shared and the applicable controls.

8. User-directed sharing

If you use a Shopping Brief, share action, Siri handoff, or similar export, you direct Mevara to provide the selected information to the destination you choose. That information may include product facts and exact retailer links. You are responsible for reviewing the destination and deciding what to share.

9. Local data and privacy controls

Mevara stores shopping and conversation information locally to support shopping continuity and repeat-purchase memory. The app provides controls to turn Optional ChatGPT Discovery off, remove a saved OpenAI API key, and clear the intended local Mevara conversation, mission, purchase, and Restock stores. Those controls have different scopes. Review the Privacy Policy’s retention and deletion section before using them.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use Mevara to violate law, infringe another person’s rights, interfere with the app or website, bypass security or access controls, scrape or overload services in an abusive manner, distribute malware, test credentials without authorization, or misuse retailer or OpenAI accounts. You may not present Mevara output as guaranteed retailer information.

11. Availability and changes

Features, supported retailers, retailer-page compatibility, AI providers, and availability may change as the product and retailer websites evolve. Mevara may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time. Beta or pre-release features may be incomplete, unstable, or removed.

12. Feedback

If you send ideas, feedback, screenshots, bug reports, or suggestions, Mevara may use that feedback to operate, test, and improve the product without obligation to compensate you. Do not send information you do not have the right to share.

13. Intellectual property

The Mevara name, design, website, app interface, and original software and content are owned by or licensed to Mevara and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. Retailer and third-party content remains owned by its respective owner.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

Mevara is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Mevara does not warrant that the app, website, retailer pages, comparisons, recommendations, links, data, or optional AI services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mevara and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, unauthorized third-party charges, retailer disputes, or losses arising from use of Mevara, retailer services, OpenAI services, or information presented through them. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as Mevara, its providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
